Introduction

Invoice Simple ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Invoice Simple mobile application (the "App").

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Customer Data: Names, addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers that you manually enter to create invoices and other business documents
  • Business Information: Company details, product/service descriptions, and pricing information you input
  • PDF Documents: Invoices, receipts, estimates, quotations, delivery notes, and purchase orders you create

Automatically Collected Information

  • Device Information: We do not collect device information or analytics
  • Usage Data: We do not track or collect usage statistics

How We Use Your Information

The App processes all data locally on your device. We use the information you provide solely to:

  • Generate PDF documents (invoices, receipts, estimates, quotations, delivery notes, purchase orders)
  • Store your customer and business information on your device for future use
  • Enable sharing of generated PDF documents via your choice of apps

Data Storage

  • All data is stored locally on your device
  • We do not store, transmit, or process your data on external servers
  • Your data remains under your complete control
  • Uninstalling the App will remove all locally stored data
  • App data is kept in the App's private storage and is excluded from Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer
  • Business and customer data is encrypted on your device (AES-256-GCM) with a key stored in your device's secure keystore (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain)

Third-Party Services

Google Sign-In & Google Drive Backup (optional)

The App offers an optional backup feature powered by Google:

  1. Google Sign-In (optional)
    • Signing in with Google is only needed if you want to back up your data to Google Drive
    • Google provides your email address and basic profile information to the App; we do not transmit or store this on our servers
    • You can sign out at any time from the App settings
  2. Google Drive Backup (optional)
    • Backup files are uploaded to a private app folder in your own Google Drive account
    • We do not have access to your Google account or to your Google Drive files
    • You can delete backup files from your Google Drive at any time
    • Google's handling of your data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Important: Signing in and backing up to Google Drive are completely optional. All App features work without them.

PDF Generation

  • PDF documents are generated using the Flutter PDF library, which operates entirely offline on your device
  • No data is transmitted to external services during PDF generation

Sharing

  • When you share a PDF document, the App uses your device's built-in sharing functionality
  • The sharing mechanism is controlled by your device's operating system and your chosen apps
  • We do not have access to or control over what happens to documents after you share them

Permissions

The App requests the following permissions:

  • Internet Access: Required only for the optional Google Drive backup and restore features. No data is transmitted over the internet unless you choose to use them.
  • Storage Access (implicit): Required to save and retrieve customer data and generated PDF documents locally on your device

Data Sharing

  • We do not share, sell, or transmit your data to any third parties
  • We do not have access to your data as it is stored locally on your device
  • The only external connection happens when you choose to sign in and back up or restore your data with Google Drive

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information through the App, please contact us.

Data Security

  • All data is stored locally on your device and protected by your device's security measures
  • Invoice and customer records are encrypted at rest, so they cannot be read directly from the App's storage files
  • We recommend using device encryption and secure lock screen methods
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

  • Access: All your data is accessible within the App
  • Modification: You can edit or delete any customer or business information at any time
  • Deletion: You can delete individual records or uninstall the App to remove all data

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

  • Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy
  • Providing an in-app notification if the changes are significant
